Caching of files in Firefox or even IE

Theres many sites I visit including boards.ie that I have to load all the images every time I visit. I might aswell have no cache at all. Why is this?

many things on the boards.ie webpage have to be fetched from a database because information is constantly changing, mayvbe that's why you're seeing a slow down.

the likes though of the boards.ie image in the top left of the page should be cached though.

Hmmm, well I do find it happens even with sites that don't have databases.
