    Hi,

Have a HP pavillion laptop, MCE 2005 which I want to connect to a older tv via s-video - scart. Right now I can hear sound but see no picture; when I play around with the TV wizard the screen on the laptop totally corrupts, as if the refresh rate was set too high, and this means I need to reboot.

Any ideas? I think this is the right forum :-)

Does your scart connection have a switch to set it to input mode ?

As many s-video to scart cables with no switch are probably wired to output mode which may explain the picture problem.

I assume you have a seperate audio cable to the scart, S-Video is video only.

    Hi,

yes, seperate audio cable - bothe the s-vid and the audio combine into one scart connecter.

Theres no way of switching the imput on the scart as far as I can see.

Could this be a software/driver problem?

..and I've fixed it. Disable all Nvidia desktop settings, reboot, reenable and then run the setup wizard for multiple display.

    Windows
