    WOW

I have a folder I want to share to my LAN from my Vista machine.
Right click, enable the share, select user, ok.
Go to my remote machine, can see the share, but none the files that are in.
Go back to my Vista machine, accessed the share locally, hu ? No files either ?
I am sure there is an extra option to view the files that I am not yet aware of.

Any help appreciated, local Vista help did not helped me out on this one.

It's changed a little since XP. Now it's more like Windows Server!

Navigate to the folder, choose Properties, open the Sharing tab, Advanced Sharing [UAC warning], tick 'Share this Folder' and give a name. Change permissions if you so wish. Click OK and Close.

    Hopefully that will work.

If you're prompted for a password from the remote machine, you'll need to change more settings. Open the Network and Sharing Centre from the Control Panel. Turn Network Discovery, File Sharing and Public Folder Sharing on. Disable Password Protected Sharing.
