Correct me if im wrong, but from my perspective it seems that about 90% of Dublin Bus's accessible routes are on the Northside, Where as there are VERY few on the southside (46A,65/b, a few of the 15 routes and...???). None of the buses listed here (my locality) ever seem to have a whellchair accessible bus operating on them. Is this abit of discrimination bewtween the northside and southside of th city??

I really don't think it's a Northside/Southside thing. There are areas like Finglas where there is no low floor route. As Victor has mentioned, the area in question is served well by Luas.

The main problem is the large delivery of Olympians which Dublin Bus received between 1997 and 1999. It will take some time before these buses are gone from regular service, but to give credit to DB, they are making progress. The further deliveries of AXs should make a difference. In the last year there has been low floor services put on the 7/7A and 79/A which gave low floor access to areas like Ballyfermot and Loughlinstown. I presume the next delivery of low floor buses to Donnybrook should have some impact on the Dundrum routes.

The 161 has not been operated by a low-floor bus in a year - it is now RV operated. The official list has never been updated!

I stand corrected on the 16's. Every time I've seen one lately its been a low floor bus!

Indeed not Enterprise - as a daily 16 user I can say that perhaps 1 in 4 is low floor, the rest Olympians!

OK but the point of the post was to show that the list of low floor routes the spaces are the Northside only routes removed as can be seen the suggestion that 90% of low floor routes are on the Northside is pure nonsense.

The 150 is not always low floor. There seems to have been a recent degradation of service since january and some old double deckers have been put on the route which arent low floor
