    Snooker: Kilkenny Masters trophy named after Paul Hunter

    Snooker's greatest names will be playing for a trophy named after the late Paul Hunter next month.
    Organisers of the first ever Kilkenny Masters have decided to name their championship trophy after the three-time Wembley Masters champion, who died last October.

    Among those competing in Kilkenny will be Stephen Hendry, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Jimmy White, and the reigning world champion Graeme Dott

    It will also feature Irish stars Ken Doherty, former British Open champion Fergal O'Brien and Kilkenny's own teenage sensation David Morris.


    This will be Follwed by a poker event in The Ormonde Hotel Which is being Run By Richarrd Nielson of The Vic In Limerick whose owner David Joyce has strong snooker links

    All Snooker Players Will be Playing this Event

    Boylepoker Are Sponsoring this event and sending up Tables and Chips but please Note it is not a big Slick EventBut We will be there to over see and Play in this Event


    Here is The Structure


    THE VIC CARD CLUB / RICHARD NIELSON

    1. Tournament is run by RICHARD NIELSON OF THE VIC LIMERICK
    2. Our tournament is run for Charity reasons and sponsored by Boyle Poker
    3. This is not a BIG SLICK EVENT
    4. Registration Opens at 8.00 and Cards are in the air at 9.00
    5. Players Do not have to pre book
    6. Payment is taken at the registration desk on the night in question
    7. We are running No Limit Texas Hold'em Freezeout
    8. Cost of entry: €100
    9. Cost of registration: €10
    10. 100% prize pool payout
    11. Any guarenteed prize pool.
    12. NA
    13. Starting Chips 7000,
    14. NA
    15. Blind levels



    25 - 50
    50 - 100
    75 - 150
    100 - 200
    150 - 300
    Break
    200 - 400
    300 - 600
    400 - 800
    500 - 1000

    16. Blind timeframes 20 Minutes
    17. A minimum 10% players will be paid.
    18. Fully Trained Dealers At Every Table
    19. List of rules available on the night
    20. There will be a Tournament Director whos decision will be FINAL should there be any desputes - Richard Bergin

    Just to correct your information on the Kilkenny Masters where you say Steve Davis will be playing. He is not part of this event and if anyone needs to see the lin-up please link to www.kilkennymasters.net for all the information you will need.

    Some snooker buddies of mine down here were asking about this tourny. Dunno if there is a snooker section to boards but if there is it might be an idea to post this info there.
