I stumbled upon a site today by a bloke called Regis Lefebure, who shoots mostly motor racing but in a way that's easily appreciated in a non petrol-head kind of way. His other portfolios are fantastic too. I was blown away!

Very good site, I have to agree motorsports can be quite staid but he/she has injected a lot of like in to it. On another topic, isnt there some motorbike show on it the RDS over the weekend might be an option if the weather is still bad?

There's a Rally on in Carrick-on-Suir on Sunday if you really want to try motorsport photography.

Theres a rally every Saturday night in Dunshaughlin! :) Thanks for the info Redundo. I will have to get to a rally and get a few shots, the Irish ones are so accessible.

Nice stuff ,don't know how he got a shot of an Audi S4 caliper while it was doing 100+ mph though ;)

I read an article on photographing cars and most of it is done at walking pace with the car being pushed.

It's just the same where i'm from. Although when you set your camera and tripod up by the side of the road for some strange reason they all slow down well below the speed limit!

Great shots. They certainly stirred that petrol emotion

Lovley website and I love motosports so this was great, Thanks julie. The website was painfully slow for me though (possibly my end)

I'm going! Four wheels bad, two wheels good, etc. I'll be *far* too busy drooling over the bikes to take photos though :D

Brillaint site. I thought the motorsports ones were a bit strange, and I mean that in the good way. Not your average petrol shots. It was almost like the cars were incidental though? Not sure how I feel about that. I loved his portrait work though.
