Where can you see plans for new developments?

    Quick question all.

My town is going to have a lot of development taking place over the coming years. I've reviewed the Meath website to see what areas are designated as what, and it looks like lots of things will be happening.

Over the past weeks, I've noticed the fields behind my house are being prepped for construction, and I'm interested to see what they are building there. I want to see this purely out of nosiness, as I have an interest in construction and would like to see what types of plans are afoot and what sort of buildings are going to be getting built in the town.

Does anyone know where you can see what the actual developments are, as opposed to just simply what each area has been zoned as? The county website doesnt offer any infromation above colored zones.

    Cheers.

Go to your planning office and ask to see the file. They have to let you see it. Some councils now have the details on their websites.

Unfortunately it looks like Meath COCO are not using GPLAN yet. Gplan is great as you can pick a point on a map and see all current, old and submitted planning permission applications and some counties even let you look at the drawings etc online.

    Good example: www.donegal.ie/dcc/gplan
