    Hey there,
I have a friends mp3 as he wanted to put a song or two onto it, somehow I managed to loose the mp3 player's USB cable. I have tons of USB cables but none of them fit, they all seem to be too big for its USB port.

Its smaller than my digital cameras anyway, so is there a few USB type standards/sizes or do companies make them themselves to fit their products?

I really need to find a cable, any ideas??

    Cheers

(its a venturer 60GB HDD mp3 player from Argos if ye need that info)

You might have to go directly to Venturer to get the USB cable, looks like this particular one is difficult to find. Website link here.

    Hi exiot,

I’ve googled for the cable but alas google hasn’t been my friend.
If you could post a pic of the usb connector on the player it might make it easier to figure out if it is a proprietary connection.

    From Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Mini_usb_AB.jpg
Digital cameras etc commonly use USB mini B connector (from your post you have tried this.).
I have only seen a mini USB A connector used on an archos player for a picto bridge connection.
Either way those cables are easily found eg dabs.ie has them for a few euro.

Let us know how you get on
