PAYE tax notice received - but no PAYE tax credit!!!

Just wondering if anybody else has noticed a major ****-up in their PAYE tax notice this year - aside from the fact that the 2007 notice didn't arrive through my door until 1st March?

I'm a PAYE worker, and have always been, and as such get a PAYE noticed, but this year they've left out a PAYE tax credit!

Basically I get just the personal credit, plus another small credit I normally claim, but no PAYE credit. Surely it would make sense that EVERYBODY who receives a PAYE cert is a PAYE worker and as such would automatically be given the credit?

I just thought it was strange - raging, as between the tax office and my companies outsourced payroll, my tax has been incorrect for 5 months now - and if its taken them 2 months to just send out an incorrect notice, how much longer will it take them to fix it?

Anybody else have major errors like this for this year? How long did it take to fix?

    Well that appends.
The thing is also, usually you have to claim your tax credits for them to be added. Most of the time they don't get added automatically.

But the good news is that the tax office processes are usually really good and fast.
So my advice is claim what taxes credit you are entitled to and claim a P21 for the last 3 years (Each year). They will review all the taxes you paid and will certainly even refund you what you overpaid in the last years.
Usually this process takes 2 months max.

So you should get some cash back pretty soon
