Just thought I'd share some pretty important allergy information, I would hate for anyone to accidentally eat what's in the photo, without knowing the facts!

Oh for heaven's sake, they need to make that warning bigger, how many people suffer an allergic reaction every year because it's not clear?

    http://www.monproductions.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/colonel/_nuts.jpg <--'nother one. :)

What I'm wondering is, did tesco actually receive some sort of lawsuit, so they had to put that warning there or is it pre-emptive?

Probably not to take any chances, like the number of people that started suing McDonalds saying the coffee was too hot and that there no warning. :)

I always wondered about the "May Contain Nuts" warnings. Does it not bother people that the ones who made the food don't know what's in it?

    A few more spectacular warnings:

Tesco's Tiramisu dessert: (printed on bottom of the box)
    Do not turn upside down.

    Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding:
Product will be hot after heating.

    American Airlines Peanuts
    Instructions: open packet, eat nuts.

    And my personal faveroute:
    500-piece puzzle:
    Some assembly required.

    for further laughs...

It means that some of the equipmemt used in the manufacturing process may have been contaminated with nuts at some other stage. So no, it's not bothersome at all.

Every single packaging produced within the EU must provide such labeling.

What if you throw away the carton...? each egg should be clearly labeled as well.

Eh? Every carton for every food must have an allergy warning stating that it contains the very food you just bought! What is the world coming to.

i wonder if chicken is legally required to carry a "contains egg"
warning until the debate over which came first is settled to everyone's satisifaction.

This reminds me of people who get a surprise and chatter excitedly when they stumble because they're not holding onto anything on the Luas when it takes off.

It's like they think the laws of physics suddenly don't apply. It's sad I know, but it sort of makes me smile in the mornings.

There's been a lot of bad press lately for Iams who have done nutritional tests on animals for their food that were considered cruel...caused a lot of controversy so I guess why they put that there.

It's called "cya". Some people would sue over anything so they put this "warnings" just in case.
