a friend has eircom phonewatch along with bt phone package in a new house. parts the phonewatch box melted on the inside  meaning it does not work anymore. they wanted crazy money to fix phonewatch box so he cancelled it. the phone wiring is nuts according to phonewatch install guy. he wants to get bb now but phonewatch messing everything up. eircom will only fix wiring for bb if he returns to them. basically told him to f off. does he have to return to eircom to get wiring suitable for bb ?.

Disconnect it from the phone line.

Disconnect all phone wires except the 1st box with incomming line. Usually near front door.

the phonewatch box is installed between incoming line and the 1st phone socket. are the incoming phone wires routed through the phonewatch box and back into 1st phone socket ?
