PS2 Games Price drop??

    Hiya,

    With the PS3 games coming out in a few weeks shouldn't the current PS2 games be dropping in price?

    It has been suggested that the PS3 games will cost €59 and I still see PS2 games going for close to that!

    Doubt it. I suspect prices on PS2 games will stay where they are to offset poor PS3 sales. There's plenty of life in the PS2 yet.

    Only 1st party titles for the PS3 have been confirmed at €60, 3rd party will probably cost more, so PS2 games will look relatively cheap in comparison, in many cases, and Sony still get the full profit for PS2 game sales.
