i have office 2007 pro. before that i was using outlook express to collect my vodafone email via pop3 and it worked well.

after i installed office 2007 i decided to use outlook 2007 to collect the vodafone pop email... but it does not work..

when i click on send receive i get the error msg that the process was interrupted... check with your isp.. maybe vodafone mail servers dont support outlook 07?

outlook 2007 works fine with other non vodafone pop3 accounts.

if i use outlook express vodafone pop3 mail works perfect.

does anyone know whats different with outlook 2007? and what the issue is?

The mail servers neither know nor care what mail client you are using.

It is, with 95% certainty, a settings problem on your end. Double-check everything. Get it working on another computer and compare settings.

What exactly is a source network trace? Are you talking about a trace route?

Sure throw up a few links there and we will have a look.

a network trace is where you capture all packets sent to/from a host to a host.. ie all the imformation being sent between the two machines... ie my pc and the mail server....on the internet...

sorry i thought you knew what this was... its a common trobleshooting method..

    What_car,

The first link you posted has a solution for Vista users, are you using Vista?

    Extract from post:

Go to Programs/accessories/ and right click on command prompt and select “run as administrator”

    Then type in the following:

netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable

This worked immediately for me, downloaded 5mb of e-mail in a few seconds (just like the good ‘ol days of Outlook 2003). this is the link to the actual post:

Ah, you mean packet sniffing? Fair enough.
