Archos 504 or Archos Gmini 500?

Hi guys i'm deliberating whether to buy a 504 or a gmini 500 as the 504 is more up to date with a tv recording dock option but it doesn't have divx format in its supported file formats, whereas the gmini 500 does and i can't find anything definitive on the web to say i should go for it on pixmania the 500 is more popular…

Hi guys

i'm deliberating whether to buy a 504 or a gmini 500 as the 504 is more up to date with a tv recording dock option but it doesn't have divx format in its supported file formats, whereas the gmini 500 does and i can't find anything definitive on the web to say i should go for it
on pixmania the 500 is more popular than the 504 but i don't know if that means anything
i'd prefer not to convert my films everytime i want to watch something, and just drag, drop and watch

the archos 504 supports vob files.

You can just rip the cd, then transfer the vob files

The archos 504 also supports avi files,

which I am assuming is divx support

the 504 does not support .vobs nattively, you need to buy the additional cinema plugin to enable this.
