    Has anybody setup sky by mobile with Vodafone Nokia 6230i Bill pay? Downloaded application installed on phone, used my user name and password provided when registered on sky.com

    It ask for authentication and access points user name and passwords
    I've tried Dublin, Dublin, vodafone, vodafone and blank, blank for user name and password when i enter every time i get the gprs go's live in corner but phone sits saying connecting.

    Phone is able to browse internet using the gprs fine,
    Have tried changing from vodafone live to wap aswell
    Have registered through sky+ box and entered phone number in box.

    Just about to give up anybody any ideas?

    Had this problem on O2 its something to do with the access point the one your using is meant for GPRS web traffic only not for use by applications you should be able to get an internet access point setting sent by vodafone. This sorted me out anyway on O2

    If you're using live.vodafone.com as your APN with 3rd party software which is expecting a direct connection to the outside world it wont work. The live APN only talks to a proxy (the wap gateway). Try using isp.vodafone.ie instead. You can PM me if you get stuck as this probably isn't satellite related :)
