I dont have broadband so I want to get a friend who has broadband to copy the microsoft platform SDK for visual C++ express to a CDR.
Ill then try to copy all the files over to my PC.

I was just wondering is it actually possible to do this?

On the microsoft site it only mentions copying over to a dvd-r.

Also if He installs the microsoft platform SDK on his computer and just copies all the files over to the CDR will it work on my computer?

Same Q for J2EE and the new J2SDK also?

The Platform SDK downloads as an ISO, so he should be able to burn the image.

The WPSDK is around 400MB, so it will easily fit on a disk. Java Enterprise and Java Standard Edition are definately small enough to fit on a disk.
