Has anyone ever tried to repair those cracks in the plastics around the screen hinges? (sorry if I've just pointed them out and you hadn't noticed them, just about every laptop gets them eventually). I've heard of people injected the screen case with epoxy resin or even putting new screws through it with metal plates on…

I've a decent Advent 7060 but I'm sh1tting myself to even move it around the house, never mind close the lid it's so bad.
