    Hey guys,

    I have 3 folders on my PC that I need to make a weekly backup of, onto another local drive.
    Is there any software that will do this automatically for me each week? i.e. So I always have the most up-to-date version of the folders backed up, without having to manually copy & paste the folders each week! Something can could run overnight when I'm not using my PC!

    have a look at m$'s freeware tool synctoy , basically does as it says on the box it synchronises folders even across drives . Check it out at:

    @echo off

    echo "********Weekly Backup********"

    copy "c:\folder1" "F:\folder_backup1"
    copy "c:\folder2" "F:\folder_backup2"
    copy "c:\folder3" "F:\folder_backup3"

    End

    Copy the above and save as backup.bat, use scheduled tasks in Control Panel and setup a weekly job. EASY.

    scheduled tasks will start the job at night
    then use xcopy or robocopy in a batch file

    or use ntbackup and do a scheduled job

    the tool inthe previous email might be easier though
