Guitar Search - PRS Custom 24

Hey all

Looking for some help in locating the following spec guitar

- PRS Custom 24
- Wide/Thin Neck Profile with birds
- Rotary Pickup Selection
- Emerald Green (or Teal Green, but emerald preferably)
- 10 top or non 10 top

I've been planning on buying one for ages, and finally have the funds. Now I can't find one tho I've decided the states is definately the way to go, and have had my eye of a few site - chrisguitars, willcutts etc but nothing that matches. I was hoping that ye guys might be able to point me in the direction of sites that might have it or even better the exact guitar

I think youre probably looking in all the right places, patience is just the key. One will pop up eventually at a good price. Obviously eb*y too, making sure to follow the usual guidelines when buying something.

Edit - also, you may (or may not) want to consider getting one made to your own specs... I cant vouch for these lads, they could be sh1t or they could be fantastic, but theres a custom shop in thailand that will hand-make a PRS style guitar to your own specs. They'll do stuff that would cost a fortune on a PRS such as rosewood necks, ebony boards, custom inlays, floyd-rose, whatever you want really. These pics are all their guitars, not actual PRSs. I cant remember the prices, but they should be cheaper than a 2nd hand PRS.

Man those PRS's are so expensive. I'd personally go for this

This one seems like a beauty but the reserve is on the high side!! I don't think it will fetch that but you never know!

Thanks for all the sugestions guys. Trying to avoid the 20th anniversary models - wasnt a huge fan of the few I played when I was in the states

Rang texas last night and think I found the one - not phenomenal looker but sweet prices.

Further updates as bulletins warrent....

I don't know a lot about PRS guitars, but as far as I know, theres not a lot of difference between the 20th ann models and a regular CU24...the difference is only cosmetic isnt it?

If you werent a fan of those, don't expect to be a fan of any other PRS custom.

They are identical spec guitars, only birds in flight inlay and tone knobs are different supposedly. But all 3 or 4 20ths i played seemed "off" and most regular custom 24s fitted like a glove. Prefer the regular inlays so it might have just been that
