They sent an email to everyone in the college however they left it so the email address could be seen and some "funny people" are emailling everybody.

Yeah, was talking to someone in Computing Services. It was basically just a bit of a mistake, whoever sent it wasn't paying attention. Ah well, could happen to anyone in fairness.
