Hi, Does anyone know where I can download a programme for free that tests if my hard drive is fully functional. I'm not to familiar with computer langue and just need somthing that can tell me that my computer has been checked and all is fine without the very technical side to it.

There are two options for this.

First is find out the make of your hdd. And go to the manufacturers website and download their toolset.

Secon is to get a program like HdTach http://www.majorgeeks.com/HDTach_d672.html

This will run a benchmark, and measure temps and the likes.
