Paying for trip to Boston

    Hi All,
I'll be flying to Boston for a short trip in April. The flight was about 480 Euros and since I'm a bit strapped for cash, I was thinking about trying to recoup some of that by buying some goods while I'm over there and offering them for sale here.
Question is, what exactly would be ideal to buy? Has anyone done this before? Can I expect any hassle at customs? I was thinking of iPods or a laptop. Would they be easy to sell?
    Thanks,
    Bearaman

Hah, you're a bit strapped for cash yet you can still afford to buy goods to sell them on for a profit. Yes, I am aware of credit cards, but I guess what you would afford to buy on the card, wouldn't generate enough profit to cover any costs.

If you bought electronic goods over there wouldn't there be a problem with power supplies? The only problem you'll have with customs is if they take a look in your bag. Cause I don't think they'll believe that you just happened to have 5 Ipods and 2 laptops with you for 'business purposes'.

Ipods - no power supply to worry about: there is €96 in the difference in price between a 30GB in Canada v Ireland. Its less on the nanos (round €60) You could get a margin out of that if you had to?

I dunno about bringing them back but surely youd manage to bring 4 of these in sell €50 cheaper and you make nearly €200 !
