    Just to let everyone know.

I will be holding our 3rd Inter Pub League Final which starts at 2pm this Sunday. There's 148 players qualified, so this game should have a large field :)

Also there will be plently of SnG's for €20 to €100 all day and night long:D

    Did you get many runners?

56 runners i think played this good tournie great structure with plenty of play, well done JP. Another boardster took it down Paul Byrne [Byrne1] first prize 1400 + Ticket to deep stack game.

I don't mean to nitpick (I just enjoy it) but there is a reg fee, which is fine and not bigger than expected. I just find it confusing to put '100% prize pool paid out', its not a freebie tournament... there is a fee.
Best of luck with this tournament. :)

this seems to be the norm when advertising event, you show the prizepool and then a separate reg fee. some companies however take money from the prizepool (celtic poker tour) whereas others like JP rightfully dont. its hardly that confusing surely??

It seems to be how most tournaments on boards are advertised, it just isn't much use.

That '100% prizepool' payout line makes it sound like they aren't taking any costs (which they are entitled too, do not get me wrong!), it looks better to write '100%', but in reality, it should say 75%are pay out. (I think, maths not too strong today).

In a hypothetical situation, I could charge (I'm using extremes) 1000e reg fee, and leave 100e as a prizepool and then write '100% PRIZE POOL PAID OUT', by this logic.

    :D

yeah exactly as long as you told everyone before only 100 was going to the prizepool, im sure there woudlnt be many runners though, unless the structure was gg-rreat! lol.
its just to stress the relavnce of all the prizepool paid out. another thing it might realte to is that it also means tickets arent used as prizes, which is a point i missed before but is important.

lol, I could it make it the slowest structured tournament in the world?! ... it would be worth it to collect the 1000% percent reg fees :D

Good point, had forgotten this. Though if any of the prizepool wasn't cash, I would hope it would state it loudly :)

To avoid confusion I will not use 100% prize pool paid out again. But instead, state as I did in this thread the amount going towards prize pool (percentage, if any, held back for tickets, this was not shown in my original thread), amount going towards scalp and amount kept as reg fee.

On a lighter note 58 players played this game with the prize pool being broken down as follows.

1st Paul Byrne €1400 & €150 Ticket to my monthly deepstack game
    2nd Thomas Tighe €750 & €150 Ticket
    3rd Ces Walsh €450 & €150 Ticket
    4th Brian Palmer €300
    5th Alan Fitzpatrick €250
    6th Niall Skelly €200
    7th David O'Reilly €175
    8th Lloyd Ryan €150
    9th Warren Hanningan €125

    League €100
    Best hand €50
    Scalps €580
