Power adaptor for Dell Inspiron 9300

I left my adapter in the college library today and when I remembered and went back there was no sign of it. Having done a bit of searching on the Dell site I'm getting a bit worried. The only compatible one they have listed is nothing short of a con as it doesn't supply the cpu with enough power to run at full speed.

I looked on ebay and there are a couple of options but I'd really prefer to buy from Dell and avoid complications/confusion.

Have I missed something on the dell site? Any help/directions would be much appreciated :(

I think humbert means the power adaptor might be of a lower wattage than the original one maybe?

yup. needs 90w and their one supplies only 60w so instead of running at about 1.8Ghz it runs at 800Mhz. load of bollocks. They don't mention this on the details page it's only mentioned on the user comments!

I don't suppose anyone could do me a favour. If you've got a dell inspiron 9300 could you check the adapter and see what output voltage and current it says. there are other 90 watt adapters on the site and I don't see why they wouldn't work but I'd prefer to be sure before I plugged it in. Also if there are any good reasons why this is a bad idea feel free to post!

I've on here. I looked up the model number and got nothing but when I do a search on "dell 90w-ac" I get some results.

Thanks a lot. The adapter on the dell site is the one I was looking to buy but the list of compatible laptops on the other page makes me feel a lot surer about it :)
