What are the chances of Leyton Orient being promotoed to the Premiership within the next decade or so?

Slim to none I hear you say. Hold on a second - didn't I hear a rumour that they were getting the Olympic stadium once the 2012 games are finished in London?

So, does that mean that they will be snapped up by some billionaire and turned into the Chelsea of East London?

Just because they are being 'given' a stadium?

    I don't think so.

Have they any kind of decent fan base? In fact, have they ANY fans at all?

Last I saw of this on the Os board it wasn't going to happen.

It would look rather silly, Orient average about 5000 per game. That would probably half fill one end.

Not to mention, most Os fans will be happy to just not be back in the bottom tier in 10 years, whatever about being in the premierhype.

But If they do, NO ONE can accuse me of jumping on any bandwagon.

But think about it. They would be a prime target for some money wielding lunatic with billions to burn.

Hearn isnt exactly short a bob, and he wont release a penny.

Of course it could happen that The Os actually go somewhere, but there are enough clubs in a better position for investment around London.
