What do you use your laptop for

On a similar vein to the type of laptop poll, what do you use your laptop for?

Nothing sinister behind these polls, I should add, pure curiosity on my part.

Mostly when I'm on the road, emails and what not. We also don't have any washing machine at the minute in the house as we moved in December and haven't gotten around to it. That has meant going to get our laundry done in those coin operated machines, which is boring but the places do have free wireless so I'm happy.

I really didn't know where you were going with this. I thought you had another use for a laptop that I hadn't comprehended. I would have been so impressed.

I use mine at work. Also for games/entertainment/web.

mostly college work (my fyp is on there) and general dossing/browsing

internet mainly for me, but also for gaming[well one game=champiionship manager 01/02- ive wasted 10s of thousands of hours on that game] and dvds,music etc

ocassionally for school research

my work laptop is for internet, itunes, msn....


oh and for work related work too. (even now and again)

I bought it for a bit of everything but to date, the only thing it's been used for is almost exclusively games....

Well work machine is a laptop so i work/gaming on it Also doubles as a back warmer (when in backpack) for winter when heading about the place. 3G comes in handy too whenever i get bored.

Very little other than vpn access for system support. Even at that its only lighty used a few times a month. The odd bit of surfing. When I'm away (work related) it is very handy though for all the above.
