    Hi All,

I've been using PS7 for ages, but recently I downloaded a trial copy of CS2 and there are a few things in there that I really like (HDR, Lens correction, lens blur etc etc) so I would like to upgrade.
My copy of PS7 is not exactly above board* - would I have a problem if I bought the Upgrade CS2 ($149 in B&H) and tried to upgrade over PS7?

    Thanks

    * by which I mean completely below board :-)

    Yes yes yes

As your PS7 is not legit you would be still in breach of the upgrade conditions.

It would install just fine but whats the point.

The point is that you can use it I presume? Smart idea Cambo, I've got CS in a very similar position to you, and I wouldn't mind upgrading, although I presume you need to enter the original serial number you used to install? Anybody know?

The point is that I want to use the newer version of PS. I realise that it's still not right. I can't afford to spend that much on a full copy. Oh well, I'll just have to stick with the mish mash of stuff that 'm using now - Digital Image Pro, Digital Photo Professional, MediaPro3, Picasa, PS7 etc etc

Unless anyone has an unused, unwanted copy of CS2? I could swap for a copy of Windows Vista and Office 2007 :o

    Wait a sec

The upgrade process will just check to see if you have an instalation of photoshop nothing more but if you upgrade to CS2 over PS7 and the PS7 has an invalid license you may well be using CS2 with a valid upgrade license but the whole instalation in the eyes of adobe will be ilegal.

If your happy with dodgy PS7 just grab a copy of didgy CS2 it's so easy to find.

    Problem solved
