    Played one many, many years ago. Kinda like a bass to teach your 10 year old on. Just not my cup o' scaldie at all.

    Nah, they're just a one trick pony and if you don't like the trick you're kinda buggered. I'd definitely say try before you buy with this one, if at all possible.

    If you've got small hands, try an Ibanez Soundgear for a neck which doesn't require big hands, the Mustang is short scale but it's still got a chunky Fender neck.
