Lugged steel road bikes in Ireland?

Hi all,

I'm toying with the idea of splashing out on a new road bike as my Sirrus took a fatal knock during the week. I've been eyeing up lugged steel-frame road bikes along the lines of what Waterford and Rivendell are offering, and was wondering if there are any manufacturers in Ireland or the UK that are comparable. I don't relish the delivery costs from the States...

So can anyone point me in the direction of custom frame-builders over this side of the pond? Thanks

There are several custom builders in the UK you should check out. I'm not aware of any in Ireland though:

try Bob Jackson bikes. Hand made in Leeds UK and not even that expensive for a custom made frame either. A friend of mine got one on ebay, with oldschool campag parts fully restored, resprayed and it looked fantastic.

Some of those Mercian frames are beautiful alright. The more examples I see, the harder it is to pick one over the last!
