    Hi ,

    I want advice on where to find a top quality sound card (external) for my PC. I want a top quality sound card and I was wondering if anyone could give me a link to where I could buy one.? Im looking for a really high quality one.

    Im also looking for high quality head phones for the souncard. both are needed to conduct listening tests.

    You can go for a consumer model like the Creative Audigy, which is pretty good for the price. Or you can go down the pro audio route with one of these: http://www.thomann.de/ie/usb_audio_interfaces.html. Might be above and beyond what you need though.

    I use an EMU 1616 which is pretty good: http://www.thomann.de/ie/emu_1616_audio_system.htm

    As for headphones I'd recommend Sennheiser HD280 Pros. They're enclosed, comfortable, have an excellent sound, and they're made in Ireland.

    Thanks Corn. I will buy both of what you posted up.

    What Im using them for is for listening testing where I will get a group of humans to "grade" the quality of various audio signals.
