Absolutely no reason why this couldn't be built to be honest. What about the palm islands in Dubai !!!

    "Ready in just three years"

"Howth 2 - An exact replica of Howth on the southside"

OP - you weren;t really taking in by that were you?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

40million tons to cover an island that big...ur joking!

and in three years? presuming that they'll need to have the island shaped in 1yr, if the building takes two years...

40million tonnes of material on an unsteady surface, to be laid and shaped in a year? Good Hoax!

    This is true.

Great advertising/marketing ploy though, really did its job.

In fairness it looks well done. Though eh... having ultra bright green lights to outline the shape of a shamrock that can be seen from space.. well thats hardly very green at all :D

Before it started playing i thought it was going to be a promo for the proposed move of the port to Balbriggan and the reclamation of all that land which would double the city centre :D

In Dubai they have rich rich princes who decide to take it upon themselves to create new wonders. In Ireland we have an incompetent government that wastes money at every turn.

Its a viral for Funda.ie if im not mistaken. Probably the best viral to come out of this country. I emailed them when it originally came up just telling them it was hilarious and got a kind of a nod and a wink back from them. Very good. they even put ads in the papers about it and a fake planning application to back it up. Very clever.
