    Who would be the heavyweights specialising in this specific area of defamation and libel litigation against media companies apart from Simon McAleese. Dublin area.

    You don't say which side of the dispute. I don't recall any names, but several firms have been mentioned on http://www.digitalrights.ie/ as either very persuasive or building a reputation. Either way, the discussion forum there might be good for feedback on companies.
