Looks like Jim is jumping on the Da Vinci Code bandwagon a bit too late...

So if they did have Jesus' DNA?

Must have got the DNA from the Shroud of Turin.

What would be great would be if he was found buried with an SUV. At least we could answer the "What Would Jesus Drive?" question once and for all.

It was a Honda accord, wasn't it?

Looking at the discussion of this in the Christianity forum, it looks what is at stake is the expectation of Christians that they too will be taken up into Heaven. I don't expect a very rational discussion...

Terminator 2 did have a bit where somebody (well a robot) was brought back to life using bits of him......

and it was called Judgment Day...

    Maybe Arnold Schwarzenegger is Jesus?

nailed like a bat to a barn door, and on the third day, rose from the dead and proceeded to sit at the right hand of himself

why did jesus have to die, was there any simpler way of forgiveing sin

why have people wih a capacity to sin in the first place

Yea this bit is kind of glossed over a bit isn't it?

I mean, God (or son of, or some part of a non-understandable trinity) came to earth and made tables for 30 years?

And also, the relic business ... all those splinters of crosses and shrouds! What about a nice sideboard made by God himself! How come we never hear about them?

Isn't there a gospel (one of the ones that didn't make the editors cut) about a young hell raiser Jesus turning other kids to stone and such? Surely with these skills and the willingness to use them there should be some proper relics around. Spare me your wooden tables, I want the goos stuff!

It wasn't that good. It was all about his teenage years working in Tesco.

'nother thread going on here, where the Catholics invited me to start a new thread to discuss the Bible, and whether or not it's all one big fairy tale. Enjoy!
