    I lost my student card, i think i know where to get a new one, but my photo doesnt even look like me and i REALLY want it changed! If i brought them a passport photo do you think they could use that? (I look like a transvestite in it!! I know this sounds vain! :rolleyes: )

    House 5 is where you get a new one, student records is on the bottom of it.

    They might give you a new pic... usually you get one in your third year (and fifth, if your course is like that). It'll cost you six euro or so...

    Ah i'm not that desparate but i do get slagged over my picture anytime i produce it...even in shops when i'm using it for a discount. :o(i usually use my student travel card but seeing as i lost that too, i've no choice!)

    also another question, i need to renew a library book, it due in tomorrow. before, i used a code that was underneath my picture,. in case i dont get a card in time, where else can i find that number?

    Here, at the Student Information System. Login, go to Student Information System, click on UG Record.

    Your student number will be listed there.

    Chances are, if you're in JF year, it will be something like 06xxxxxx. If the ID card you lost is the first card you've been issued with, the number you need for the library is 06xxxxxx01. If it's your second, it will be 06xxxxxx02. I'm on my fourth card, so I'm xxxxxxxx04, and so on.

    Hey,
    It's basically your student ID directly followed by two digits. The two digits are your issue number... ie If you're a first year and it's the first card you ever got then it would be 01. Basically how many cards have you ever had?
    if you're unsure try a few different digits.

    Example student ID: 03456789 and it'd the 4th card you've ever had...
    Library barcode is: 0345678904

    It is no problem for them to retake a photo. Last time I was in there they had the camera all set up. Just explain that the last photo didn't look like you and a few people had questioned if it was you.

    ok i'm editing this because it did finally work. i must have tried it about 10 times doing it the way you said! i've renewed the book now thankyou for all your help and hopefully i get a new, non blurry, female photograph!
