Just turned on the channel and noticed they've changed the graphics. Must have only happened in the last few hours. I usually see advance notice of such changes in places like this.

So far, they seem less cluttered than the old ones. A Breaking News thing just happened. Rather than the large banner they used to have, it took over the ticker along the bottom, using black and yellow colours to make it noticeable. It just increased to the larger banner when they talked about it and the banner then went again.

    Looks like fox:eek:

And the clock changes to the date for like half the time!!

You go to Sky for the exact time not the date:eek:

Didn't they do this in like November?

The rotating Sky News "cube" is exstremely annoying, and the black doesn't match the rest of the graphics still being blue.

But it is slightly less annoying that the clock changing to "sky.com/news" for half the time like it did previously;)

    That cube is very annoying.

    My favourite one was this:

like the style of reporting it is cheap and tacky.

Very nasty graphics. Bits I don't like (well, all of it really!).

    - The rotating Sky News logo (does it have any purpose?).

    - The ticker. It just looks cheap/nasty on the black background.

    - The new black colour scheme don't match the existing "blue / red" look of other graphics. Design Rule #1 - blue and black don't complement each other!

    - The yellow text for "breaking" news on the ticker. Very distracting, especially when it's not really that big a story…

God it is horrid. The designs before the last ones were best, when they were still in the old studio. People kept emailing them in about it too as they looked slightly better but they just said it was time to update them (it wasnt!).

Every time I switch on my reaction to the new colours will remind me not to watch sky news so often, which is a plus.

ANY DOG is objectionable. Moving ones 10 times worse. Visual distraction and stressing.

looks cheap and tacky just like sky news is theses days, seems like a desperate effort by a once good news channel to try and copy its sister station foxnews and from what I gather skynews isnt much of a priority anymore seeing their decision to remove it from freeview and loose half their audience in the process. I used to watch skynews now I watch bbcnews24 or cnn, much better by far.

No worse than CNN's revamp a good few months ago.

I was watching in 16:9 letterbox at 6:30 am and the red box looping through temperatures was slight off the screen.

The colour of the 'breaking news' banner is something else.

How long until "Sunrise w/Eamon Holmes" or "Live@5w/Thompson".....?

I see Sunrise has managed to find a place on Sky One mornings now as well.

Not too many fans of the new look on an official Sky News blog either...
