€50 in game, think it was the same in Smyths.

Would they take any preowned games to pay for the deposit?

May be more like 700 - some if not all retailers will push you into buying at least one game.

Let us know how you get on - it might be of use to others.

yeh the RRP is 630, the RRP of the wii was 250, bar argos - who didn't even get the console in any sort of numbers at launch - did anyone see the wii for 250?

i reckon the ps3 will be a minimum of 650. now if that's all you expect to play good luck on having an overexpensive piece of cheap plastic just sitting there doing nothing.

Just rang xtravision and the deposit is e100, total e700 with one game - no thanks!

I taught e630, why do you think it will now be e650?!!

deposit is 50e in xtra vision and the prices are 750e with 2 games and an extra wired controller or 790e for 2 games and a wireless controller.

i explained why i think it will be €650 in my previous post.

it's supply and demand, shops will charge as much as they possibly can to make more profit.

Effectively, yes. Game have it advertised for €630, but it seems they'll be charging €80 - €120 per game.

Yet none of the games listed on their website are anything more than €75

Would your time no be better spent ringing some places yourself rather than asking us to tell u? Why are you leaving it till now to get the finger out. TBH i'd be suprised if you managed to save a raisen by march 23rd :D

I'd say you'll need a minimun of EUR 700 alright so you'd wanna get your skates on lad.

Game in Dawson st had plenty of spaces left when i was in there yesterday, they're even mentioning "you can preorder the ps3" in the "greeting " when they pick up the phone, so i doubt it's flying off the shelf.

Rumor is that Xtra Vision are forcing bundles. Smyths, i would expect to treat people farily, but who knows.
