Whenever I try to play any video file be it .avi or from a DVD on any of my players(Crystal, VLC, Media Player Classic and WMP). The playback always freezes but the audio continues unaffected, the playback will then catch up to the audio really quickly, will be ok for 5 - 10 seconds then freeze again and so on. I have uninstalled the codec pack I was using (K-Lite) and installed other ones but to no avail, because this is happening with VLC also, which has its own codecs and doesnt rely on an external pack, I thought it could be a problem with the video card, but I havent made any adjustments to it...

    anyone have any ideas??
