Man, this would certaintly be preferable in my view. However, you will have a lot of people who will argue for the introduction of antes in an event from the earliest possible opportunity.

why not bring it in on level 9, 25 and 50 for level 10. Structure is still very slow and will allow plenty of play.

Just a quick point, there really should be a break every 2 hours and not 3, thats far to long to ask people to sit at a table for, this would be standard lenght of time in any deepstack tourney.

    Neill,

I think if you're going to introduce antes, then they should be brought in a bit earlier..maybe level 6.

If you're not going to bring them in until level 11, then a scheduled break every 3 hours is fine. Its only when antes are in play that a toilet or smoke break becomes expensive.

Personally, i dont think theres much need for a 250/500 level either

agree with 250/500 level, dont aggree with breaks...lol. Breaks give players time to get there concentration levels back, its not about toilets, its about given your head a break, maybe I suffer from old age.

It would be better for the antes to come in earlier, did you look at the UKPT structure, played that in Jan with 200 player field and thought it was fine.

Yeah no probs Neill, I'm happy to go with whatever structure you choose. I'm just throwing a suggestion out there to see if anyone agrees. Dont expect you to change anything just for me!!

    Maybe??? lol

I dont mind going for a wander in between hands to give myself a break. I just think that having too many scheduled breaks disrupts the play. 15 mins is too long, i think 10 mins is enough but as long as a 10 min break means 10 mins. Just coz you need to regroup every so often and find out out to play such a hand and get advice...:p

Whatever you think is best! Its good to see that youre asking for players input to help improve an already great structure. I just think youre looking to set yourself up for the boards 2007 awards!!

lol, You'll be going from almost banned for life to Tournament Organiser of the Year - that will be some achievement.......

On a serious note Neill this structure offers amazing value in terms of you paying dealers wages etc......Nice one.

Keep the breaks to the minimum neil.

Maybe First after level 5 ...!!!
(Hour break gives players and dealers time for food etc)

    then 10min after level 7...!!!

were there to play poker not smoke. Stoping breaks the flow of a tourny.

    Antes unsure .

Lookin forward to this big time. and the cash games

I take it your a non smoker? Smoking and poker are inextricably linked and breaks are most welcome!

    Neill,
Will definitely be playing so will you register me please.

    Either structure looks good

One thing, if this is not due to start until 8pm on the Friday night, your looking at a 6am finish for day 1.
Would it not be better to carry over a level (or even 2) to Saturday when you can start earlier?

Don't worry your little head, we'll have you home & tucked up in bed by 3am (that's if you play a cash game for a couple of hours). And you can dream of the following day's minor event. :D:D:D
