Receiver help...

I'm currently looking at receivers, mainly some of the lower priced kenwoods like this one:
    http://www.kenwoodildarom.ro/produs.php?doc=153

On the spec sheets I've been reading, they list video inputs and outputs, which is kind of confusing me (I've only ever had an all in one dvd/receiver/speakers set-up till now)....the confusion is this; are these inputs (and outputs) a means to allow the receiver act as a hub for all my video output devices?
I'm asking because the display I'll be using only has 1 component input, but I have at least 2 and possibly more devices that I'd prefer to output via component.
So my question is, are such receivers capable of being used as a splitter and you select the source via the receiver's remote?
I've phrased my question rather badly but I can't really think if a better way to put it.
The component sources would be a PS2, xb360 and maybe a DVD player.
Also what's HD pass through? Does that mean that the 360 would be catered for over component?

    Any replies much appreciated...

Short answer yes, the amp will act as a splitter. The component output will be called monitor out. Have you considered Yamaha receivers? The entry level one (RX-V359) has 3 component inputs.

Yeah that looks even better. Decent price too.

I'm really just weighing up options....have to get rid of this sony all-in-one....the scart only output is criminally bad quality on this HDTV, even though the sound and other features are great.

I'm half considering another all-in-one; the pioneer dcs-353 with USB and HDMI looks particularly good in terms of price and quality.
By the time I add speakers and a player to the receiver it's weiging in at above the price for the pioneer.
It's all down to the connectivity really....I want to avoid having to buy anything HE related for a few years, bar media...
