Hey what do you guys think of lupo's. They seem like a nice cheap car for a learner driver. Would they be too small for someone who is 6 ft?
Why are they no longer in production?

I think the model was replaced by the fox, but not sure.
My mam has one, great little car for around town, she
loves it. no trouble but not many miles either.
I find it a bit cramped and am only small so not sure
i'd like it if I was 6 foot, but would feel the same about
    any similar sized cars..

So would it have about the same amount of leg room as a micra?

would say so, depending on who you have in the back.
i'm used to a focus or a3, a fair bit less than them...

Also have a look at the Seat Arosa. They are the same car as the Lupo but generally are cheaper to buy. The Lupo was not a great seller and has since been replaced by the Fox.

The only way to check if you will fit in one is to get inside it yourself and see how comfortable the driving position is.

BTW the Toyota Yaris also has a high roofline, I know at least one 6" plus person who drives one.

Been toying with the idea of getting a Lupo GTI. Looks nice, and supposed to handle well. A little OT, but this is mental!

Apologies for raising the Dead!!! I've been on the longterm lookout for a Lupo Sport (1.4 16v) or GTI for ages now but to no joy... any boarders spotted any on their travels recently???

Is a 2001 Seat Arosa 1.4 16v Sport of any interest?

I always loved the Lupo, I thought they had a great character to them. The GTi would be the model I would go for. I think at the time of launch, Clarkson said it was more similar in spirit to the original Golf GTi than anything VW had done since.

The front lights always reminded me of a Benz w210.
