Blinds 200/400, Im in BB with 8 3 and after 5 limpers I check my option.

    Im playing 20k, villian covers.

    Pot 2,400 - Flop 8x 8d 4

I lead for 1500, UTG calls, Villian calls.

    Pot 6,900 - Turn Kd,

I check, UTG checks, Villian bets 2500, after a think i call, UTG folds

    Pot 11,900 - River 10d

    I check, villian bets 5k....

Villian is only at table 10 or so hands, hasnt said a word and hasnt played a pot beyond the flop. I was watching him when the turn was dealt and his eyes lit up like a child on christmas morning. I figure to call the flop bet after I lead and one caller that he has to have a holding, I can see he likes the turn... after much thought I fold...

Am I ever correct to fold this? I couldnt see what I beat

I would imagine you're beaten on the flop. River is an easy fold.

I would call the river, you are being offered very attractive odds, and with your read I would think its likely he just has a king, maybe KQ AK.

When you lead the flop then check call the turn your hand doesnt look like an 8

I would imagine your hand is good a lot more than the 25% of the time or whatever you need to make the call.

I reluctantly call here. Like HJ said, your hand is well disguised. If he's got A4d, so be it.

    you guys have it right.

He showed K4. I didnt realise the guy was a donkey, he had a big stack and i gave him credit for getting it. I wasnt to know that he got it through misadventure.

The same guy later called an all in with QJ on a AKQ board and turned a 10 to send his opponent packing. Later again he donated all his chips to PPPSpecial when he called an all in on the turn with the nut flush draw.

In hindsight I was very annoyed that i didnt call his bet, as Rob has said it was from the east wall game yesterday, I should have assumed they were all donkeys!!
