Dawn of War 2...

So rumours of this have been buzzing around ever since we all saw "2007" pop up at the end of Dark Crusade, and atm on the Relic Forums, they are currently doing a number of official polls on various aspects of the DoW Triliogy such as Melee systems, Squads and Storyline Gameplay etc. and speaking of there huge project for 2007...

Whats everyone lookign forward to in Dawn of War 2?

Personally i'm hoping they keep all the races they have currently and add in 3 new races, which i would assume woudl be Daemonhunters, Witchhunters and Tyranids.

I say this because they are really the only armies they have left to add, and they are also the subject army of 3 of the most popular mods out there (Inquisition Daemon Hunt (Daemonhunters Mod) Adeptus Soritaris: Witchhunters Mod and the Tyranid Mod ) also all 3 are quite teh cool.

Don't think so man. It's Space Marines only for the campaign. Unless someone's modded it.

You can play Eldar in WA and Dark Crusade. It's only 29.99 for all the games together in GAME.

As for Dawn of War 2.....maybe more of an emphasis on tactics ala Company of Heroes, rather then the mindless bashing that DoW consists (which is great fun don't get me wrong - but in Company of Heroes it is possible to beat 2 players at once through tactics but in Dawn this is almost impossible). I rather like the cartoony style as well, I hope they don't try to make it too realistic...

To be honest there's not much I could ask for. Dark Crusade fixed most things that I would have previously said I'd like to see in DOW2. Especially the Imperial Guard.

I've just started playing Winter Assault again in case anybody still plays this - it's a lot quieter then it used to be (everyone prob playing DA), but you get to know some players and there's always a game starting....

As long as they keep the groups the same along with the paper/rock/scissors element I will be happy. I think the first one was the most fun RTS ever made.

There is no DoW2 for a good while yet.

I'm friends with one of the relic balance team members, and he said that there wasn't any *wink*.

So it's a while away, rumour has it it'll be nids and dark eldar. Remember, Nids were gonna be in WA instead of IG, but the Dawn of War engine couldn't handle tyranid hordes.

And Dawn of War hasn't been rock/paper/scissors for a long time...
