I google mine a lot. Any thing I wonder about, how to cook tonight's dinner, random phrases in my head, how to do stuff around the house... it all gets googled. Am I the only one?

Did you know they don't like it when you use the name of their company as a verb?

Aw, did I hurt their feelings? Guess I'm just a big meanie taking advantage of them and so on.

It's a bit late for that. It's already gotten into the dictionaries... http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/google

But yes... I use 'IT' all the time...

I even use it as spell checker by times.

Yeah, IT knows more about me than my shrink (had I a shrink).

    google maps to find places
sketchup is playing a big part in my leaving cert and according to my search history on google ive done 28133 searches

Oh... I see I'm back on top in google when I type my real name in.

I was knocked off the top spot when a skanger in Tallaght with the same name got himself shot dead and made a bunch of headlines.

how do you check your history of searches on google?that'd be interesting to see!

And that's the very reason I refrain from googling too much. Don't want others going onto the computer seeing their mate/brother/son/nephew looking to see is Mianus an actual town, or were jackass bull****ting.

    (They weren't bull****ting)

So do I, and people think I'm crazy for using it like that:(

I use it instead of typing urls too, I'll admit.

I google everything. Everything. I spent a week in Kerry over Christmas and there was no internet. I nearly went insane. I was playing The Sims 2 Pets, and my damn sim wouldn't fulfill his desire of becoming a werewolf, and I kept trying to google it. But I never could :(.

I google recipes, TV schedules, websites, books, movies, people, research for college work... everything. It's my homepage.

I'd use it about 5 or 6 times a day.
If I read something and don't know what it's about or if I see a word or term I don't understand, then I would use it.
Simu, when you refer to the URL's, are you talking about typing a word into the address bar and letting google do the rest?
    I do that too.

Google's my home page. I use it for recipes, hunting for flights and accommodation, reserach for work, shopping online - in terms of how many times I use it a day, I reckon when I'm working I can do upwards of 100 searches a day on Google.

I don't use google as much as I use www.dictionary.com... not for its spelling but for its encyclopedia & reference etc. I tend to use google when i want pics (under images). If I want book/music info I go to amazon or the artists own website.

I recently started using del.icio.us and find it much better than google for searching topics

I heard it's because if it gets into the dictionary, they lose the patent on the name.

Normally, when I need to find out about something, I go to Wikipedia first, then failing that google.
Also sometimes I get bored, this is good for that.

I google my name every now and again to see the vast amount of info I can find on myself...

googling my name turns up little....I don't google as much as I use to: It's been replaced by Wikipedia mostly.

Trying to use the internet without google is like straining raw sewage with your teeth.
One of these days google will implode and we'll all be fcuked.

Nah, I just type the site's name into the google box. It means that I might still get a link to the site even if I type-o.

@Faith: you get werewolves on your lot if there are lots of trees apparently. Haven't managed it yet myself, though.

I find the search in wiki to be very fussy, so I google with the word wiki in the string.

What areother people doing up this early!

I use google to check up on my life, and what the internet has hept a record on. So far it's been pretty accurate! Bah... Goodnight! zzzz

I use it a fair bit too, in work, at home, as a spell checker - there really would BE no internet without it at this stage.

(This post and thread are NOT brought to you in association by Google, it's affiliates or subsidiaries. Still a nice ad for them though! :))

That's what got me! I kept thinking I had no werewolves, but I had hundreds! They're the big stray dogs that come around in the evening. One's kind of grey, the others are black and their eyes glow yellow in the dark. They're all werewolves! I think the grey one (I think his name starts with F... Fluffy or something?) is the leader. Although, I don't think it really matters which one "nibbles" your sim.
