    i'd like to buy a laptop from dixons and use the 'pay later' option. however, they told me that i would need to have lived here for 2 years, in order to be considered for finance. i wonder if it's always the same, with any company?

    It differs from company to company. It really depends on the company. Just keep trying different places.
