    Hi Folks

Any suggestions as to where I can get a large laminated map of Ireland and one of the greater Dublin area also?

Needs to be a decent size for the office wall with a fair amount of detail. Laminated so routes can be marked out in magic marker.

Must of course be good value!;)

    Thanks in advance

    Do-more.

http://www.mapcentre.ie/ will definitely have them. Not cheap, but a fallback should nobody know anywhere cheaper.

    Hi,

Why not try the Ordnance Survey in the Phoenix Park. They can most likely supply it and laminate. Got a job there many years ago where it was mounted on card and stitched along the edges, still good today,

Yep - The Map Shop Churchtown 01 2980266. as Squishey suggested.

Can't remember the exact price (the boss was paying!;) ) but I think they were €40 - €50 each

Bought one of Ireland OS and one of Greater Dublin OS both well up to date with latest roads, housing estates etc.

Weighing in here well after the horse has bolted as it were, but if anybody else is looking for something similar, there's another possible route.

I read an article a few months ago about a guy wanting to get laminated OS maps (the 1:50,000 ones) for hillwalking. His solution was to go directly to the OS offices in the Phoenix Park and buy an unfolded sheet which he could then get laminated himself.
