Got an email from Garmin saying their version 9 maps have been updated with 100% coverage for Ireland as well as most of europe. Toying with the idea of paying the $75 they are looking for it although for some reason I can't get by the mastercode screen.Anyone else had problems.
BTW, if you registered your unit after september 06' your entilteld to a free update.

Yes, I've been waiting for this update for years (literally!). ordered the updated DVD last week.
What problem are you having getting past the master code screen?
You are using the code from the yellow slip of paper, right?

if you can't get it working, give Garmin UK a quick call (sadly, there's no such thing as a quick call with Garmin support - expect hours of hold music!).

Yes Krusty, the master on the yellow slip. When I bought the unit last year, a street pilot 3,I got the version 6 maps with it and an offer of version 8 free, managed to sort that out although I did have a code issue at the time but it worked. I'll give tham a call thanks.
