Samy Schiavo trains for trip to Ireland

Samy Schiavo has two upcoming fights in Ireland, first in Cage Wars against Chris Stringer in Belfast in April, then at Cage Rage Ireland against Chris Brennan in May.

He has started his fight preparation, here's a quick clip of some pad work.

No problem, I think that Samy has the ability to be the best LW in Europe and more. I'm really looking forward to his fight with Chris where he'll get to show what he's capable of.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a few more videos like this up between now and the fight.

His hands have improved a lot in the last while, he's put a lot of work into them recently.

I was talking to Duchman last night and he told me about a light sparring session Samy had with his brother James (holding the pads) last week. Apparently Samy threw a left hook that nobody even saw and James fell on his arse KO.

Would anyone be interested in a HL vid of Samy?

Chris Stringer trains with Chum Sut up North. I don't know much about him only he fought in 2hot2handle and he lost to Tim Murphy by triangle. Also, he was on Gerry Andersons martial arts thing a while back.

OK, I'll get the highlight up in a bit, might make yous wait a while to keep the hype going for the event a bit longer...

I was at the 2H2H event in Holland, Chris looked slick on the ground. On paper it's probably a big step up for him alright but his team obviously think he's got a good chance of winning and, judging by the fight I saw, he's a dangerous opponent.

Samy and his brother James both competed at a high level in TKD so those kicks are their bread and butter. Samy was also french kickboxing champion. He has spent the last few years working on his wrestling and you can see the results. I don't think there are many fighters as strong as him at 70kg, he's incredibly explosive and it shows in his fights.
