Made a mess when removing dual-boot

I was running just Windows XP on my laptop, but I installed Kubuntu on a new partition (made by the installer).

I was multi-booting (I could select Kubuntu or Windows XP when starting up)

I wanted to get rid of Kubuntu, so I did it (the wrong way) by using PartitionMagic in Windows to delete the Linux partition.

My laptop still tries to boot something called GRUB (installed with Kubuntu), and I get an error now before it can boot to Windows or give me an option what to boot to.

How can I fix my MBR to boot to Windows?

Go to the Windows Recovery Console (you have to boot the Windows CD to get to it) and enter the following commands.

    fixmbr
    fixboot

    Thanks aidan! So quick!

Finally, some use for the Recovery Console!

    I'll try that now. :D
