Anyone know of a shop in town who unlocks Nokia phones? tried doing it the online way but unlocking codes didn't work and I've reached my limit. Need a hard unlocking.

    Thanks.

    What kinda Nokia?
Newer Nokias (6280 for instance) can't be unlocked at all.

Then as Poxy said try the Cellular repair center at the top of William St.
It's kinda hard to find as it's just an office upstairs.
Just walk up William Street, on the side of Newsomes. Just past Newsomes you'll see a sandwich board advertising the place, and an open door
head on up the stairs and there's the shop.

    It costs between €10-€20.

Afaik it means a new version of the manufacturer's software (firmware) is put on the phone.

Also it could mean that a new unlocked circuit board is used.
