I'm Using a Raid 0 set-up in my pc and i just happened to have an old sata drive along with a brand new ide drive lying around.

I have tried connecting them both but none of them are visible in my computer.

Is there some way that I can utilise either of these drives without re-installing windows.....

Need to initialise the drive(s) within XP.

    Go to Start-Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Computer Management-Disc Management.
You should see your existing drive(s) and new drive(s) in the list. Right click each new drive and select Format. Follow the prompts and you are done. Please don't format your existing drive though :)
